What Are Cleanroom Classifications?
Cleanrooms are classified according to the ISO 14644-1 standard. These classes are defined based on the number of particles of a certain size in the ambient air.
- ISO 5: Areas requiring the highest level of hygiene (for example, aseptic filling lines).
- ISO 7: Pharmaceutical production rooms and laboratories.
- ISO 8: More general production areas.
Each class determines the level of hygiene appropriate to the production process. In its projects, Nevays determines the correct class according to customer needs and establishes the infrastructure in accordance with the relevant GMP and ISO standards.
